MD Woodpile Cut up & distribute the Manifest Destiny woodpile. There's more cut & paint of Privet, Olive & Cassia on the east edge of  Manifest Destiny . Morning Glory is starting to climb along the west side of the cycleway in the forest area. Honeysuckle &  Morning Glory need work south of the dirt track, towards the  Blady Grass . Maintenance weeding would be timely at our 3 most recent planting areas even though 2 of them are west of the survey line. 2023 Rules of Operation under review 2022 Jobs list Lisa's site - cutting back the reeds et al to restore our track, plus a wiry old Cassia on the creek edge at Manifest Destiny ; SE Corner - Morning Glory in flower & some more Cape Ivy ; Andrew's Area needs another attack...its an encyclopedia of weeds; Check the fallen Banksia area behind Steve's Beach where our plantings are under siege. 2021 Weed of the week Purple Top   A fair bit of rescue work from grass growth needed at Condons Corn...

Urgent foci. Turk is flowering with some in seed at Condons Cnr.. Secateurs & bags required before dealing with Morning Glory also thriving. McKellar Glade is busting out with a few other nasties nearby.. Cape Ivy is starting to spread in the SE Corner. Still work for a Cut & Paint team in Manifest Destiny. 2023 Out of The Wild More chopping along the Stony Road , more Honeysuckle , Blackberry et. al. wrestling east of the cycleway, further Lily hunting and some planting of very locally sourced natives. There are also a few checks needed on Montbretia , Velcro , Madeira , Noogoora , Asthma Weed , Cape Ivy & Stonecrop . Noogoora  2022 Work list  Time to go back up the creek to a few areas we have neglected recently. Pearl Vine , a native creeper/climber, ( Sarcopetalum harveyanum ) has taken off & we need to prune it from shrubs & small trees before they disappear. Secateurs required, or vast patience & dexterity. There is also a big Mothy near ...

So Much Happening We will have two groups in Manifest Destiny cutting back Cassia (& painting if its dry) plus continuing our "nesting" behaviour to reduce our woodpile. Another intrepid group with secateurs could cut out as much Honeysuckle as we can get to on the sea side of the cycleway.  Keen weeders can get the Cape Ivy in the SE corner & the Stonecrop spreading under its favourite Coast Wattle. Morning Glory hounds will find some back of Steve's Beach and there are still Lilies along the south edge of the New Forest. 2023 Sweep New Forest We need to sweep through the New Forest for Morning Glory , Lilies & junk.  There's some solid weeding needed on Purpletop ,  Fleabane , Lilies & Blackberry east of the Cycleway further on & the smaller site at Woodlands Ck needs the nasties forced back into the creek.  Choppers can work along the Stony Road & our west edge heading north from there. 2022 Targets Targets will be the SE Co...

Offer: Cut & paint Privet & Olive regrowth, plus Ted's Cassias in Manifest Destiny Lily digging along the south side of the dirt track Break up & strew the woodpile in Manifest Destiny Take on the flowering Honeysuckle east of the Cycleway Halt a new Turk outbreak near the start of the dirt track 2023 Gladdies for Edna? Coastal Gladdies will be first up tomorrow, followed by a general Lily search & dig, or a weeding return to Woodlands Ck. Coast Gladdies are very like Lilies in the removal technique (get the bulb). Choppers can be employed along the Stony Road if they need to chop.. 2022 Weed of the week - Ehrharta Our efforts will be; Honeysuckle regrowth beside Woodlands Creek - to be bagged, Ehrhata grass removal around plantings in Old Forest , Cape Ivy & grasses removal in SE Corner Disperse/spread fire evidence & deter Ochna & Lantana regrowth in newly planted area   2021 Plant of the week - Lomandra There is more to do in the blady grass ...

Found Heaps There is work for choppers, Lily diggers, serious weeders & even some repair work: The Old Forest has work for a couple of perspicacious weeders. I counted 8 different weeds between the bridge & the dirt track. Choppers could start on the big Banksia fallen behind Steve's Beach. Its lying across several smaller trees/shrubs & hides a bicycle.   Lilies are on the rise between the Stony Rd and the dirt track (25?) & there's another 15 on the south edge of the New Forest.  Our Native Hibiscus is a Deer Fatality so we should dismantle our protections around it. One of our nearby Cedars also needs attention & if salvageable, some more protection.  Both these are west of the survey line.    If that's not enough there's Manifest Destiny, but as you approach the ditch check whether the BushTalk film set is occupied. We should break up & strew our uncomfortably large wood pile. 2023 Perfect planting conditions Picked up 50 plan...
