Hierarchy of native plants

 Hierarchy

We will build on this page a list of plants that we are trying to protect.
The hierarchy will establish which plant to trim if two native plants are in conflict.

We start with the local hero:

Crinum lilly; Crinum asiaticum, commonly known as giant crinum lily, poison bulb, grand crinum lily or spider lily

Note: Pretty flower but all parts of the plant are poisonous if ingested.

These plants are subject to attack by Spodoptera picta caterpillars

Growing Illawarra Natives

The Growing Illawarra Natives website promotes the cultivation and use of plants native to the Illawarra region.

To identify native plants start at this page:

These resources have been developed and maintained by the local Illawarra community.
