Eat Healthy Weeds If needed there's shady work at  Woodlands Ck &  Manifest Destiny / Lisa's Site but a few  Lantana &  Purpletop , are waving at us from the southern half of the Blady Grass .  The Cycleway edge also has some impertinent Bidens ,  Purpletop  &  Fleabane  requiring removal. For the next 4 Mondays come to Bushcare if you don't have a better offer.  We'll nominate which site each Sunday based on weather, weeds, rubbish & crowds.  2024 Cool & cloudy  We'll return to Woodlands Ck edge for some clearing & also weed Ted's Patch & along the Stony Rd. Ross & Garry please bring your paper bags of Kangaroo Grass seeds for distribution after the weeding. If numbers allow we may do some work in Manifest Destiny where Laura will hopefully have some plants to put in.  A few litres of water will help 2023 Christmas day 2022 Weed of the week   Curly d...

Chance of Showers for Return to Flanagans Three main sites to choose from: Coupe 3 has a lovely collection of Cacti in the north-east corner; about 25 of the little spiky monsters to be dug out & bagged. Our planted area requires careful weeders to extract  Morning Glory , Asparagus & Lantana , especially where close to our little treasures. There's also a regrowth Norfolk Is. Hibiscus to be  dealt with. The North side of Flanagans Ck has quite a bit of  Morning Glory with its big purple flowers on show. Pulling & bagging or scraping & poisoning needed in various spots between the bridge & the shelter shed. There's an evil red flowered spiky thing and Fennel further east & then concentrated  Morning Glory  & Asparagus at the back of the beach.  2024 Planting in our Narrow Strip Some Sandpaper Figs will go into Manifest Destiny. A peculiar Trowel may well appear to place some of these darlings into the ground. We ...

Calling for Aquarians Two very hot days, no rain until at least Thursday, plus Hewitts Creek filled by high tides, means our most recent plantings will appreciate a Day of Aquarians tomorrow, our shaduf system being temporarily too salty. I'm thinking the Dirt Track littlies but also the recent Manifest Destiny vulnerables. The battle vs  Snake Vine No.2  continues along the creek bank past the bend, at Andrew's Amnesia & along the  Dirt Track . Secateurs & patience required.  There is also a bit of sawing work on a fallen trunk & branches south of the  Dirt Track . Fleabane is everywhere but particularly across  Manifest Destiny where its outgrowing the normal weeds!! The  Dirt Track  (very popular today) is hosting a fine display of Bad Passionfruit. Woodlands Ck has  Lantana,   Cassia,   Purple Top , Japanese honeysuckle, Fleabane, Coolatai & Snakey 2   The WARC Zone offers a dubious reward for whoever ...
