March 4th week

Bushcare and Weight Loss

Focus on Manifest Destiny with weeds in seed esp. Fleabane and the emergence of the winter weed Lambs tongue. Bag the seeds and roots. Places have been identified to lay down cardboard in that area. So bring any big sheets you have.

McKellar Glade has bidens, bag the seeds and flower heads, knock the soil from the roots and leave these stems in the tracks you make through the area.

The forecast is suggesting a small chance of rain in the morning so work may need to be restricted to the highest ground.

2025 Could Be Soggy

A Chinese Elm has been sprouting in our midst & needs deconstruction.
A dead tree has come down in Manifest Destiny & should be cut up.
Bad things are growing along the east edge of Lisa's Site, including Noogoora, Cassia & Madeira & our track is disappearing.

Inspection & seed collection of Turkey by Weed Aware Random Citizens may occur around Condons Corner. The "Western Front" that we long maintained on Nichols Land is under threat from Morning Glory, Lantana and Passionfruit.
Andrews Amnesia has also been forgotten recently & could do with some attention

2024 Rained out

2023 Priorities

Both sides of Cycleway in the grassy areas and some parts of the Mc Beach Estate track and along our west edge there. Dragging Morning Glory out of trees should be fun.

2022 a Wet One

The forecast is suggesting a small total of rain tomorrow morning but we've all had the pleasure of the wind-driven drenchings of the past couple of days, so be warned. Its likely to be very wet over much of the site so work will be either along the cycleway and/or along the back of the beach.
